The First Day

The ceremony, brunch, and a leisurely day to stock up and settle in at the cabin.

10:00 AM

Wedding Ceremony

Our ceremony will be at the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse, Courtroom 14B, located at 1000 SW 3rd Ave, Portland, OR 97204. For dress, business casual is great, don't stress on getting too fancy!

11:00 AM

Photoshoot

We'll gather outside the courthouse for some nice professional group photos to mark the occassion, before sending the group ahead to brunch while we finish with a small couple's photoshoot.

12:00 PM

Brunch

Delicious brunch with reservations at a Portland favorite, Mother's Bistro, located at 121 SW 3rd Ave, Portland, OR 97204.

2:00 PM

Prepare to Depart

While brunch settles, we'll pack up, load the cars, and start making our way to Mt. Hood, stopping for groceries along the way.

4:00 PM

Arrive at the Cabin

Unpack, settle in, and prepare for a lovely weekend of good food, company, and relaxtion! Details of the property and amentities can be found here on the AirBnB listing.

Activities at the Mountain

No fixed itinerary, but we have a few options in mind to choose from depending on the mood and weather!

Hike to Mirror Lake

A gentle 3-mile round trip through old-growth forest to a lake with a classic reflected view of Mt. Hood. Option to extend further to Tom, Dick, and Harry from Mirror Lake if feeling adventurous.

Top Spur and Timberline Loop Hike

A moderate 2.3-mile round trip hike with beautiful views aplenty with limited effort!

Highland Cow Farm Tour

A short drive to a nearby farm to meet, brush, and pet a herd of shaggy Highland cows up close. There's also a beautiful spa with a wet sauna and cold plunge available!

Trip to Government Camp

A short drive up the mountain to grab lunch, browse the outdoor shops, or enjoy a brewery. Easy to combine with a scenic drive further up toward Timberline.

Trillium Lake Outing

One of the most iconic lake views of Mt. Hood. Plenty of space to relax by the shore, with an easy walking loop around the lake, kayak rentals, and potential paddleboarding.

Trip to Hood River

A scenic drive out to the town on the Columbia River, with a walkable downtown, breweries, and fruit stands worth a stop.

Board Game / Card Night

We're planning to bring a selection of board games and cards for the weekend. Feel free to bring your favorites!

Stargazing

Worth a few minutes outside after dark on a clear night, since the mountain sky shows a lot more than city skies do.

Fireside Chats

Conditions permitting, a great way to end the day with s'mores and storytelling.

Sitting by the River

Flowing right by the cabin, the Salmon River is a great spot to relax and have a quiet moment away with a book or enjoy the sound of running water.

Hot Tubbing

Right outside, and a great spot for a bit of relaxation or socializing.

Meal Ideas

It's always fun getting to share traditions and nostalgia, and food is full of both! Please share your food and meal ideas for the weekend, and we can plan to shop accordingly and cook together for a delicious weekend!
